Nathan Wenzel

Co-Founder · The Visionary

Nathan Wenzel is a co-founder of LegalOperator. He founded SimpleLegal, which was acquired in 2019.

Nathan has been building for legal teams for more than twenty years. He founded SimpleLegal, advised Fortune 500 legal and insurance departments, and was in the rooms where "Legal Ops" was still an idea without a name. He developed a habit of noticing friction everyone else had learned to live with, then refusing to move on until he found the answer.

"I've watched legal teams work around their software for years. That's not a product problem. It's a structural one. And it's exactly the gap we're here to close."

The Bar Just Moved

You've been told to do more with less. Your vendors even publish thought leadership on how their software helps you do it. So why aren't they doing more with less, too? AI doesn't just make the product smarter. It makes the vendor cheaper to operate. Expect more from your software and from the vendor selling it. Expect to pay less. Both, not one or the other.

Legal Ops Doesn't Need More Features. It Needs Less Friction.

Legal software needs to be easier than Slacking a lawyer.

Tag Legal in a Jira Ticket. LegalOperator Takes It From There.

LegalOperator's new Jira integration turns a Jira ticket into a legal request, in either direction.

Do Less With Less: Why I'm Building LegalOperator

Everyone's talking about doing more with less. The bigger opportunity is to do less with less.

Why I Came Back to Legal Tech

I'm a builder who saw something that needed to exist. We're starting with an AI-enabled knowledge base that answers routine legal questions so lawyers don't have to.

The Self-Building Knowledge Base: Why "Answer Once" Matters

Most knowledge bases are graveyards. We built something different: a system that learns from your team's actual answers, in real-time.

Why We Publish Our Pricing (And Why More Vendors Should)

Hidden pricing isn't a sales tactic. It's a sign that a vendor values their margins more than your time.
